Fried Potato Recipe





Here is a simple recipe for making classic fried potatoes:

Ingredients:

·         4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and sliced into thin wedges

·         Vegetable oil, for frying

·         Salt, to taste

Instructions:

·         Rinse the sliced potatoes in cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

·         In a large saucepan, heat 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 375°F (190°C) using a deep-frying thermometer.

·         Working in batches, carefully add the sliced potatoes to the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown, about 3 to 5 minutes.

·         Use a slotted spoon to remove the potatoes from the oil and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.

·         Sprinkle the fried potatoes with salt, to taste. Serve hot.

Here's a simple recipe for boiled potatoes:

 

Ingredients:

·         4 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and cut into even-sized pieces

·         Salt, to taste

Instructions:

·         Place the peeled and cut potatoes in a large pot.

·         Fill the pot with enough water to cover the potatoes.

·         Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water.

·         Place the pot on the stove and bring the water to a boil over high heat.

·         Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the potatoes simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are tender when poked with a fork.

·         Drain the potatoes in a colander and return them to the pot.

·         Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or fork until they reach the desired consistency.

·         Season the mashed potatoes with salt, to taste. Serve hot.

·         You can also add butter, milk, cheese, or other seasonings to the boiled potatoes for extra flavor. Enjoy!
